Van Morrison, Irish from Belfast, began his musical career as the lead singer of a group of great success in the first beat era, in the 60s, Them (and no one can forget their great success, Gloria, a psycho garage beat song, covered years later by Patti Smith) and, closed this first period he began a solo career in 1968 with the original album Astral Weeks. With this album, and with subsequent ones Moondance and Tupelo Honey, he has started an entirely original musisc style, which mingled for the first time, blues, R & B, echoes of Celtic folk, rock, with the poetic mysticism and intimate of the original lyrics of "Van The Man", making him an important point of reference for all modern music in the following decades.
