The first Who singles issued in UK were sold without a cover, but within a generic fold, usually blank and sometimes with editor's logo or ads. The following issues in other countries were usually in cover, instead. The choice was often different for each specific country, for marketing reasons. It's quite impossible, therefore, to identify the first singles (included the most famous ones), with a specific image.
